Description:
A truly unique building - originally designed as Southend's 'Opera House' - the Palace always offers a vibrant mix of comedy, live music, serious drama and children's shows. The main theatre auditorium seats up to 600, whilst the Dixon Studio Theatre seats 100.

Palace Theatre Summer Youth Project
After two successful years the Palace Theatre Summer Youth Project is returning in Summer 2010 with its production of The Wiz - an adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L.Frank Baum. Dorothy's adventures in the Land of Oz have been set to music in a dazzling, lively mixture of rock, gospel and soul music. -
