Thanks to funding from Essex County Council and Arts Council England, music professionals and young people will have the opportunity to develop their music careers during free music sessions.
The two events have been organised by the Essex Music Development Agency. ‘The Big Get Together’ and ‘Music DIY’ sessions will be held at Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford on the Friday the 16th February.
The sessions have been funded through the Essex County Council’s Strategic Grants Scheme. This will give young people and musicians the opportunity to develop their skills to start a business in the music sector.
During ‘The Big Get Together,’ there will be an opportunity to meet experts from the music industry and develop new contacts through the Essex Music Network.
The session will start at 10am until noon at the Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford. The networking event is supported by Essex County Council, Arts Council England and EMDA.
The Music DIY workshop will run from 12:30pm to 4:30pm and it will give musicians the opportunity to gain new skills in order to build a successful music business. The talks will incorporate a beginner’s guide to a wide variety of music topics including Performing Rights Society, Musicians Union, Copyright and Distribution.
