Help make ESSEXstreetdiversions, The 3foot People Festival, The Fling and other exciting events go with a swing!
The Cultural Events Team (Chelmsford Borough Council) want people passionate about providing a great events experience to get on board and sign up to work with us as paid casual stewards at events between now and 2012. Events will include The 3foot People Festival, The Fling, ESSEXstreetdiversions and a large-scale celebration in Hylands Park to mark the London 2012 Olympics, with other new events yet to be confirmed.

If this is right up your street, whether you want to know what goes on behind the scenes, need to get some experience for a qualification, or just think that we need your skills and smiles, then we would love to see you at a recruitment gathering on Thursday 18th February at 6pm. Here the Cultural Events Team will give more info about what the role may require and what to do to make it happen.

If you are interested in getting involved and finding out more at the gathering then send your details and a short paragraph (approx 150 words) about why and what makes you so good for the role, to events@chelmsford.gov.uk by 9am on Monday 8th February. Suitable candidates will be contacted week commencing 8th February, with further information about the gathering.

A few necessities: Applicants will need to be aged 18 or over and will be required to undergo CRB and medical checks if they are selected (at no cost to the applicant).
