Spikedrivers: www.spikedrivers.co.uk/index.html
Ben Tyzack guitar, vocals & harmonica, Constance Redgrave bass guitar, vocals & percussion and Maurice McElroy drums, vocals & percussion.
Making a very welcome return to Marigolds, Spikedrivers are one of the most original, innovative and exciting bands around. Three superb and talented musicians demonstrating the mastery of their instruments and the pure pleasure they got from performing whilst experimenting to evoke unusual and contemporary sounds whilst keeping their feet firmly rooted in the past with the music they clearly love.
Their combination of gutsy slide guitar, rock-solid bass, infectious grooves and highly distinctive vocals, creates a sound that is uniquely their own. They take you on a journey, from southern juke-joints and lazy front porches to the huge open spaces of dust bowls and railroad tracks disappearing into the distance.....

Allison Neale’s West Coast Quartet: http://www.allisonneale.com
Allison Neale Saxophone, Alex Bryson piano, Darren Macarthy bass and Matt Fishwick drums.
Allison, who is no stranger to Marigolds, was born in the USA when her British father was working for Boeing in Seattle and came to the UK as a young child. She originally started playing flute when about eight years old and although classically trained on flute she started playing saxophone in her mid-teens.
Allison was heavily influenced by listening to her father’s records and in particular those of West Coast Jazz musicians like Gerry Mulligan and Stan Getz, the Brubeck Quartet, Paul Desmond, Jim Hall and Chet Baker, Bill Evans. She has a particular affinity with Paul Desmond and Art Pepper and the beautifully crafted lines of her compositions often evoke the spirit of those players.
As a strong advocate of the melodic West Coast style she has performed alongside leading international artists such as Adelaide Hall and Bud Shank and more recently tenorist Scott Hamilton as well as featuring in both the John Dankworth ‘Generations‘ Band and the “Back to Basie’ Orchestra. She frequently tours the UK and has two CDs to her name ‘Melody Express’ with guitarist Dave Cliff and ‘Blue Concept’ with trumpeter Gary Kavanagh, both on 33 Records. Her third CD " I Wished on the Moon was released in January 2015 on the Trio Records label and features her quartet as well as Milt Jackson influenced vibraphonist Nat Steele.
