  • Vote for The Fling to be crowned Best One Off Event at Panic Awards 2010
    Date 20/01/2010

The Fling emerged after it's pilot year in a blaze of glory in the summer of 2009 and was enjoyed by many of the jolliest, most creative people Chelmsford (and beyond the borders) has to offer.

Even the sunshine joined us to create a party atmosphere at the festival of assorted amusements and we hope that with those sweet memories back at the forefront of your mind you could take just a minute to nominate The Fling for the coveted Best One Off Event Award at the upcoming Panic Awards.

If you do have just a minute, then please send an email to panicawardsnominations@googlemail.com
    which states (with firm belief)
"Best one off event - The Fling"
then probably best to follow with some pleasantries...

  • Curiosity in the streets of Chelmsford
    Venue: Chelmsford Town Centre
    Event: ESSEXstreetdiversions
    Date 15/09/2009

As summer comes to an end and I start planning the next round of activities I am rather taken by ESSEXstreetdiversions. The thought of Chelmsford town centre being filled with curious characters is definitely appealing and through my experiences from previous years I know that the standards are set high and the performers rise to them in their own bizarre ways. This year's line-up looks fuller than ever and I can't wait to see the finale outside Loch Fyne from Bash Street Theatre Company who I have been trying to see for a few years now.

The coneheads are the faces of the publicity once more and I've heard that they have a twist in store for 2009. With the Insect Circus Museum, Plunge Boom's Allotment and much more I hope that I'll be able to catch at least a glimpse of everything!
